This piece of writing is dedicated to the people who are struggling in the rough sea of life. I am extending a little help to 'expose' them as I remember - I was THERE 20 years ago.

APPEAL FOR SINCERE PERSONAL SADAQAH / DONATION TO RAISE FUND TO EASE THE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OF FOUR MUSTADA'FEEN ( HARDCORE POOR) FAMILY MEMBERS
First and foremost, permit me to apologize should my email which was sent after visiting your organization's websites disrupts your busy work schedule. I write this e-mail with great hesitation, hoping for miracle to happen and with fervent hope that Allah will open your heart to help me and my younger family members with a small sincere sadaqah/donation, specifically to raise fund to re continue my studies and save the study of three brilliant family members under my custody.
I am an orphan, presently unemployed and to make the end meets, I teach Holy Al-Quran on voluntary basis to children within the neighborhood . I am also bogged down with serious ailment and had undergone two major surgeries and still require follow up treatments which in numerous occasions had to be skipped due to financial constraints. As a result of that, at the present moment , I could not undertake physical job to supplement the income and had been in the futile job hunt for quite some time.
I was formerly a Master in Islamic Studies student at Open University Malaysia and had to resort to fund raising by soliciting donation after facing financial hardship . Although I had tried hard to do fund raising through emails , unfortunately luck was not on my side where it only drew lukewarm response from the public. The little amount of donations that I received earlier had to be used to finance the studies of three family members who are studying in the field of medicine, chemical engineering and electrical engineering at in UM,UMP and UTM (local IPTAs) respectively, who are relying on me as the sole bread winner.They are brilliant students who scored 10 As and 9As in their SPM results. To add more misery,there were complaints lodged by the Email recipients to the University which took disciplinary action against me and after the trial found me guilty of soliciting donation from public and this led to termination of my studies from the University. A copy of the letter of termination as student is hereby attached for your perusal.
After my recent appeal seeking for leniency and reinstatement was rejected by the University ,between astonishment and despair I just do not know what to do . It was frustrating to note that I have paid more than RM12,000 of course fees through hard earned money i.e. teaching Al Quran and tightening the belt for the entire family . My examination results for 10 course works had been excellent, scoring CGPA of 3.96 with one more subject (3 credit hours) to complete and a project paper which had been ready for submission. All my dream to acquire additional qualification which could further enhance my marketability of securing teaching job in private islamic colleges on contract basis was shattered by this unexpected turn of event. Although I am sad that the punishment meted out had been so harsh on justification that my action had smeared the image of my previous place of study but I have accepted the punishment as what Allah has fated to test its slave's patience.The only regret,if any, is on the action taken by complainants in lodging reports to the university that paved way for my dismissal. This humble request for Sadaqah/Donation is just voluntary for those who believe in seeking Mardatillah ( God's Blessings) and with the option to ignore the Email if one is skeptical in giving hand. Why should they add more miseries to four helpless poor muslim brothers who are suffocating in the rough sea of life.
It is therefore with sadness that I seek your generosity to provide us with little sadaqah/donation within your affordable means to assist me in enrolling in other public/private universities/university colleges offering the same master programme soonest possible ,depending on availability of fund of RM3,000 for the registration and semester fees.I will apply for the transfer of credit hours or exemption on certain peculiar subjects from the prospective universities that I have in mind ( UM,UIAM,KUIS or KUIM ) or start all over again from scratch if such exemption is not granted.In the event that I managed to raise enough fund for the study,I will immediately cease this fund raising so that I will not encounter similar problem with the new place of study.
Any sincere donation of even as small as a ringgit or two from you or your kind hearted staff who may want to undertake "fastabiqul khairat" (doing kindness to other mankind) could always be credited to my account at CIMB BANK BERHAD - ACCOUNT NO: 7060254454 ( Anuar Ahmad) ,to help me raising up the fund for the continuation of my studies and for settlement of several outstanding payments to be made by my three family members to their respective universities.They are studying on educational loans which are far from sufficient where most of the time they have to survive on instant noodles and it is so heart wrenching that I could not give hand to relieve them from being hungry.I even had to forgo the routine follow up check ups and medication needs to ensure that meager income that I earned from Quranic teaching and tazkirah could be fully channeled to them to ensure that they could continue their studies until graduation.
Although I fully understand that it takes ghost to get an assistance, I always believe that Allah will never Abandon four of us during this difficult moment.There will surely be selected golden heart brothers and sisters who will give hand . I pray that Allah will Shower you and your family with long life, good health and prosperity in life herein and hereafter for the mercy and kindness shown towards 4 needy students who are at the wits end of saving their studies.
With the Grace and Mercy of Allah SWT, may you be included as one of those who are Blessed by Allah on the day of judgement as stipulated in the Prophet SAW Hadith narated by Imam Bukhari ( Hadith No.620) and Imam Muslim (No.1712) , i.e. "one who offers help to the needy brothers discreetly until the left hand does not see what the right hand is providing". As Almighty Allah Reminded us in the Holy Quran " Be kind to other mankind in the same manner that Allah Showers you with kindness..."(Al Qashash - 28:77). As a good muslim,we always believe that giving out donation to lighten the burden of other unfortunate brothers will spruce up donors' past sinful deeds, lengthen the life span and enhance their prosperity in life herein and hereafter.
Please also be assured that a portion of the donation money (if any) will also be used to prepare foods and drinks for children who learn Al Quran under my tutelage . By forking aside a small amount of sadaqah/donation for this purpose ,may you then be included as one of those who have undertaken the most noble task as mentioned in the Holy Quran i.e..."feeding on the day of hunger, to the orphan and the poor who are in great difficulty" (Al Balad - 90:14-16).

Once again, I crave your apology for bordering you with this fund raising appeal and my poor command of English which might caused unnecessary inconvenience to you in capturing the essence of the E mail. Last but not least, in the event that you are unable to give hand to ease our difficulty by forking out a little sadaqah of a ringgit or two and support this fund raising , please extend your dua' (prayer) with earnest hope that Allah SWT will Shower Mercies on us and squeeze us out from this prolonged financial predicament. الله يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء ويقدر
