It is good to be back. The last time I wrote, it was in January. It is about time I update my blog with new things: I changed my job, I moved house, I changed my diets, I improved my morning walk, I made new friends (I met this happy-go-lucky Diana) and most importantly, I moved on.
A New Job
I haven't decided to change job. When you lose a job, you lose a job. There are things in life that happen unexpectedly - unplanned, that is. Later I spent almost two months in-between jobs. It started when I get a new boss. He was totally different from our previous boss. May be we spent years working for the same boss, we felt unable to accept the new boss's managerial approach.
I woke up one morning, got to work and wrote my resignation letter. I thought it was going to be month end. How wrong I was! The day I prepared the letter was the day I handed it in. Then, the next day, I was told that I am free to leave the office - that I did not have to serve the one-month notice, that I will get a full pay. Then I thought - 'ok, give me until end of the week to clear my desk'. I went home, thinking. Later that night, I decided this - 'Tomorrow will be the last day for me to say farewells to a few good friends'. I did. And, I never showed up again.
While unemployed (actually, I have imagined this a few weeks before I left the office), I started my blog. I have this passion and interests in making flowers for weddings. It is just that I don't have the time since I worked full time. I bought a new camera. I had one, then I lost it when a stranger grabbed it from my car! I started making flowers - all sorts of them. They are the ones that I put on my blog earlier on.
Meanwhile my brother told me there was a job opening close to hometown. I wasn't so excited since I know how tough it is to do the same job, to start all over again and so on. At the same time, I checked jobs advertised online. I found this job (my current job). But at the time, I did not know that this is going to be the new job. I applied and keep applying (including the hometown job). It was easy .. that I did not have to try like I tried before.
And, here I am .. doing what I do best (the 'policy' guy). I like the 'learning of new things' part because it keeps me going.
